The Siberian Tiger likes to live in a habitat that is very cold, has lots of snow, and is usually in a forest. Here, they can hunt their prey. Siberian Tigers enjoy feasting on deer, wild boars, small bears, fish, rabbits, and jackals. Because the tiger is at the top of the food chain, it does not have to worry about other animals eating it! How lucky! So, why is it endangered? The Siberian Tiger's habitats are being taken over by humans, who need to spread their cities to help more people. Also, people hunt the tigers in something called paoching, which means they are not allowed to, but do it anyway. Poaching is illegal. |
